2017 boils down to one word for me, growth. Every year I choose a few areas of my life and business that I focus my energy towards. Last year was balance and productivity. It was a year to work less and lean into creating more value for others. Getting outside was a priority and I almost reached an intense goal I set to hike more than I ever have. I learned to be far more aware of what the people in my life are going through and how to support them in their process. Growing more in my self brought challenges last year but it also cultivated a peace like I’ve never felt. We grow when we face the uncomfortable and I am embracing life outside my comfort zone as much as I can going forward.
I’m grateful for each and every one of you whom I had the pleasure of working with last year. To every photographer whom I had the privilege of mentoring, I can’t express how filled my soul is because of you. 2018 is a huge year for me. It’s a year for redevelopment. My soul has shifted since I began this career. I am approaching my craft, my business and the people in my life with more intention than ever in 2018. Depth to my work and to the relationships I have with others is essential this time around the sun.
Somehow, this camera continues to present unbelievable opportunities that I will continue to chase. Below are just a glimpse of my favorite frames from 2017. You can see more if you care to follow along with me on Instagram. Hope you enjoy.
